AEW Forbidden Door Predictions: The Spotlight Crew Locks In Their Picks

Forbidden Door is here, and the Squared Circle Spotlight crew has officially made their predictions for one of the most anticipated crossover events of the year.

While there are a few disagreements, our panel found plenty of common ground. Everyone is backing Will Ospreay to win the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Final, Mercedes Moné to capture the Women’s Tournament Final, Thekla to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship, Cope & Cage to successfully defend the AEW World Tag Team Championships, and Kenny Omega to defeat Zack Sabre Jr.

The biggest split comes in the Steel Cage Match. Joe and Kathy are backing Team Briscoe, while Jeremy and Charlie believe Team MJF will emerge victorious. The AEW Continental Championship is another point of contention, with Joe predicting Bandido shocks Jon Moxley, while the rest of the panel is sticking with the champion.

There are also differing opinions in the Three-Way Tag Team Match and the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship bout. Joe believes El Sky Team and Shota Umino get the wins, while Charlie is riding with The Young Bucks and PAC. Kathy agrees with Joe on Shota but sides with Charlie on The Young Bucks, while Jeremy is backing The Young Bucks and Shota Umino. In the event of a tie, it will come down to the tie breaker of “how many matches will end by submission?”.
