Clash in Italy Match Reviews: A Night of Surprises, Spectacles, and Bloodline Drama

Clash in Italy is in the books, and overall, WWE delivered an entertaining night with several standout performances and some intriguing developments heading into SummerSlam.

Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther

Spotlight Rating: 2.5/5

This was certainly a match. Unfortunately, that’s about the best we can say. While both men are incredible performers, the match never seemed to reach the level fans expected. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it lacked the drama and excitement needed to make it memorable.

Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill

Spotlight Rating: 4/5

The biggest surprise of the night. Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill exceeded expectations and put together a highly entertaining match. Jade continues to improve every time she steps into the ring, showing that she is quickly becoming more than just an impressive athlete—she’s becoming a complete performer.

Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi

Spotlight Rating: 3/5
Another spectacle between two absolute powerhouses. While the match wasn’t quite at the level of their previous encounter, it did exactly what it needed to do by further building the rivalry. WWE appears to be setting the stage for a third showdown at SummerSlam, and we’re all for it.

Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca

Spotlight Rating: 3.5/5

A fantastic Premium Live Event debut for Sol Ruca. She looked right at home on the big stage and earned a huge victory by capturing the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. This felt like a star-making performance and could be the beginning of a major run for one of WWE’s brightest young talents.

Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu

Spotlight Rating: 4.5/5

Our Match of the Night. Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu delivered a fun, hard-hitting main event that had plenty of story implications beyond the bell. More importantly, the match continued to fuel the ever-evolving Bloodline saga, leaving fans with plenty of questions about what’s next for Roman, Jacob, and the rest of the family.

Final Thoughts

Clash in Italy may not have been an all-time classic, but it delivered where it mattered most. Jade Cargill took another major step forward, Sol Ruca had her breakout moment, and the Bloodline story remains one of the most compelling narratives in wrestling today.
